The Flanagan-Cornell Falcons will head out on the road to square off against the Fieldcrest Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Flanagan-Cornell has struggled recently with three losses in a row, while the Knights will arrive with 13 straight wins.
Last Friday, Flanagan-Cornell suffered a rough 64-43 loss at the hands of the Minutemen. Flanagan-Cornell has struggled against the Minutemen recently, as their game on Friday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
The losing side was boosted by Kesler Collins, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds. He hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Logan Ruddy was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with seven rebounds and three blocks.
Meanwhile, Fieldcrest didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against the Pioneers on Saturday, but they still walked away with a 42-36 win. Despite the win, that was the fewest points Fieldcrest has scored all season.
Flanagan-Cornell has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 15-11 record this season. As for Fieldcrest, they pushed their record up to 23-1 with that win, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.
Flanagan-Cornell was dealt a bruising 60-31 loss at the hands of the Knights in their previous matchup back in December of 2022. Can Flanagan-Cornell avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
