Greater Dakota recap November 5, 2013
Adding to the longest winning streak in Greater Dakota this week, Lincoln beat Stevens 42-7. The victory was the ninth in a row for the Patriots.
The Raiders fell to Lincoln 42-7 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Caden Quintanilla was a passing and rushing force as Aaron Beavers' team bested Stevens. Quintanilla's key target this week was Adam Belhaj, who caught 3 passes for 53 yards.
Quintanilla was a beast in the backfield as the Patriots defeated Scott Hagen's team.
Josh Dotson was the best receiver in the league this week as Rapid City Central lost to O'Gorman. Dotson tallied 7 receptions for 97 yards. Asher Pikula helped Rapid City Central's passing attack out by catching 6 balls for 56 yards.
Thanks to the talents of Connor Burchill and Quintanilla, Lincoln has been able to do all sorts of things on offense. Burchill is tops in the league in passing with 1,098 yards, while Quintanilla has rushed for 1,530 yards this season. The Cobblers' Dotson leads the league in receiving yards with 504 on 32 catches.
The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between the Patriots and the Knights. Lincoln comes into the matchup ranked second in the state, while O'Gorman ranks 14th.
