North Montgomery hasn't had much luck against Western Boone recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Chargin' Chargers will welcome the Stars at 5:30 p.m. North Montgomery is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.

Piper Ramey made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out ten batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off seven hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.
In other batting news, Kendra McClamroch was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 1-for-2. McClamroch is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least two every time she's taken the field this season. Ella McManomy was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Western Boone). Everything went their way against Faith Christian on Thursday as they made off with a 17-3 win. The victory continues a trend for the Stars in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won six in a row.
Like North Montgomery, Western Boone also got a great game from a two-way player: Raina Lutz. Throwing, Lutz pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Ally Lewis struck out eight batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits (and only one walk). At the plate, Lutz went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI, while Lewis scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. That's the most runs Lewis has posted since back in May of 2024.
In other batting news, Western Boone got a massive performance out of Morganne Grant, who scored three runs while going 3-for-4. That's the most runs Grant has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Mickey Burns, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4.
Western Boone always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .541. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Faith Christian only posted an OBP of .286.
The win got Western Boone back to even at 2-2. As for North Montgomery, their victory bumped their record up to 3-0.
North Montgomery suffered a grim 15-3 defeat to Western Boone in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can the Chargin' Chargers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
