The North Bay Haven Academy Buccaneers will challenge the Bozeman Bucks at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.
North Bay Haven Academy's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They blew past Beechwood 15-0. The result was nothing new for the Buccaneers, who have now won ten contests by seven runs or more so far this season.
Addison Mallon made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.
In other pitching news, Kalli Stokes looked comfortable as she tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive appearances.

Back at the plate, North Bay Haven Academy let Kaylee Goodpaster and Khloe Hill run wild. Goodpaster scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances, while Hill scored three runs while going 2-for-2. Those two stolen bases gave Goodpaster a new career-high. McKenzie Goff also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
North Bay Haven Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .333 or higher in seven consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Bozeman got the win against Walton on Friday by a conclusive 15-3.
Nya Bautista tossed a big game, striking out six batters over five innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits.
At the plate, Caydence Corbitt was a standout: she scored three runs and stole three bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 1.1 stolen bases per game. Another player making a difference was Karlee McLean, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.
North Bay Haven Academy pushed their record up to 13-3 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Bozeman, their record now sits at 9-5.
Bozeman's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Tuesday. North Bay Haven Academy has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.8 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Bozeman, though, as they've been averaging only 3.6 strikeouts. Will North Bay Haven Academy keep running through batters, or will the Bucks buck the trend?
North Bay Haven Academy was able to grind out a solid victory over Bozeman when the teams last played back in April of 2024, winning 9-4. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Buccaneers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
