Gilmer County got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Tyler Bush out in front who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 rebounds. That makes it five consecutive games in which Bush has scored at least 25% of Gilmer County's points. Zachariah Wine was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with five rebounds.
Despite the loss, Richwood still got an impressive performance from Grant Russell, who scored 22 points. Russell continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Trae Trivolette, who scored 12 points.
Gilmer County's victory ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-7. As for Richwood, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

As for Richwood, they will play host again and welcome Pocahontas County, where tip off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in West Virginia (Pocahontas County is ranked 113th, while Richwood is ranked 119th).
