The Quince Orchard Cougars's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight defeat. They fell just short of Wootton by a score of 68-65. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.

Aze continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Khairi Hyde, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds.
Quince Orchard dropped their record down to 6-6 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Wootton, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 13-4.
Quince Orchard will be playing at home against the Trojans on Friday. Gaithersburg is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak. As for Wootton, they will head out on the road to face off against the Bulldogs at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Churchill's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five matchups.
