Glades Day has gone 8-2 against Atlantic Christian recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Gators are taking a road trip to take on the Sharks at 3:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
On Wednesday, Glades Day got the win against Atlantic by a conclusive 13-7.
Adrian Baeza was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He tossed 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Baeza was even better at the plate, going 3-for-5 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March of 2025.
In other batting news, Taranza McKelvin Jr was a standout: he got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base. Isaac Perez was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Meanwhile, Atlantic Christian took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Tuesday. They never let Katz Yeshiva get on the board and left with a 15-0 win. The Sharks haven't had any issues with the Storm recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.
Atlantic Christian gave Landon Moffitt the start and clearly made the right call: he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over four innings pitched.
At the plate, Bryan Zuniga was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Micah Herring, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
Atlantic Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Katz Yeshiva only posted an OBP of .294.
Glades Day came out on top in a nail-biter against Atlantic Christian in their previous meeting back in April of 2025, sneaking past 5-3. Will the Gators repeat their success, or do the Sharks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
