Grosse Ile has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will challenge the St. Mary Catholic Central Falcons/Kestrels at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Grosse Ile will be strutting in after a win while St. Mary Catholic Central will be coming in after a loss.
Grosse Ile scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. Everything went their way against Taylor Prep as Grosse Ile made off with a 65-40 win. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Grosse Ile has managed all season.
Meanwhile, St. Mary Catholic Central pushed their score all the way to 55 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Plymouth Christian Academy by a score of 58-55.
Grosse Ile's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for St. Mary Catholic Central, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
Grosse Ile skirted past St. Mary Catholic Central 46-43 in their previous meeting back in February. The rematch might be a little tougher for Grosse Ile since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
