The Lighthouse Private Christian Academy Stingrays will be taking part in a tournament against the Central Virginia Homeschool Athletic Association Patriots at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday. Lighthouse Private Christian Academy is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last five games.
Lighthouse Private Christian Academy had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 13-run drubbing they dealt West Florida Baptist Academy back in April. The Stingrays put the hurt on the Conquerors with a sharp 16-3 win. Considering the Stingrays have won nine games by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
B Nelson was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Micah Braidlow, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.
Lighthouse Private Christian Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .588. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as West Florida Baptist Academy only posted an OBP of .320.
Meanwhile, Central Virginia Homeschool Athletic Association sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-6 victory over HCYA on Saturday.
Pierson GOODMAN made a big impact no matter where he played. He pitched five innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off six hits. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run.
In other batting news, Josiah PULLING and Collin FELTS did most of the damage at the plate: PULLING went 1-for-2 with two runs and one RBI, while FELTS got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run and one double. Keegan HAGER was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

As for Lighthouse Private Christian Academy, their victory was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 19-6.
