The Snowflake Lobos will face off against the San Tan Foothills Sabercats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Snowflake's favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while San Tan Foothills has been banged up by six consecutive losses on the road.
Last Wednesday, everything came up roses for Snowflake against Blue Ridge as the squad secured a 56-27 win. Given the Lobos' advantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 122nd, while the Yellow Jackets are ranked 287th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Asher Brewer continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double with 17 points and 15 rebounds. That's the most points he has posted since back in January. Christian Smith was another key player, going 5 of 8 on his way to 13 points.
Snowflake smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in seven consecutive games.
Meanwhile, San Tan Foothills hadn't done well against Northwest Christian recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. San Tan Foothills took down Northwest Christian 66-51.
San Tan Foothills' win came from a few key players Snowflake will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Jaylen Fulton, who scored 23 points. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Julius Carlisle, who earned 19 points.
San Tan Foothills' victory bumped their record up to 13-14. As for Snowflake, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-9 record this season.
Some high-performance offense is likely on the agenda as the two teams are some of the highest-scoring teams around. Snowflake hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 56.9 points per game. However, it's not like San Tan Foothills struggles in that department as they've been averaging 56.3 points. With both teams so easily able to put up points, the only question left is who can put up more.
Snowflake didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against San Tan Foothills in their previous meeting back in February of 2020, but they still walked away with a 56-52 win. Does Snowflake have another victory up their sleeve, or will San Tan Foothills turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
