A Season-Best Effort from Corbin Kyes Leads Central City over Aurora
On Friday, Central City got the W thanks in part to Corbin Kyes playing the best football he has all season. Kyes rushed for 433 yards and six touchdowns while picking up 11.4 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 55 yards.
Kyes is probably looking forward to his next game, a home matchup against Fort Calhoun on Friday. Back in September of 2023 (the last time Kyes saw the Pioneers), he rushed for 147 yards and a touchdown, and also picked up 50 receiving yards.

Lincoln Christian has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season. Wegrzyn and Lincoln Christian will head out on the road to challenge Chadron at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
