Maimonides' and Whitinsville Christian's match on Wednesday was close at halftime, but Maimonides turned on the heat in the second half with 38 points. Everything went Maimonides' way against Whitinsville Christian as Maimonides made off with a 59-35 win. Given Maimonides' advantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts basketball rankings (they are ranked 64th, while Whitinsville Christian is ranked 234th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Neighborhood House Charter scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They claimed a resounding 108-71 victory over New Mission/Boston Community Leadership Academy on the road. Perhaps unsurprisinly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.
Tavon Rhodes continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 39 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Neighborhood House Charter's points. Juelz Jackson was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.
Maimonides' victory bumped their record up to 15-0. As for Neighborhood House Charter, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 15 games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season.
