Ocosta has gone a perfect 4-0 against Oakville recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Wildcats will square off against the Acorns at 4:00 p.m. One thing working in Ocosta's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last three contests.
On Monday, Ocosta got the win against Wahkiakum by a conclusive 14-2. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Mules recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Joanah Rosander made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out nine over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs.
In other batting news, Jolissa Schlegel was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Another player making a difference was Brooklyn Blake, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.
Ocosta always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .545. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Wahkiakum only posted an OBP of .208.
The home team had won the previous five meetings between Oakville and Wishkah Valley, and Oakville kept the tradition alive. The Acorns had just enough and edged out the Loggers 27-26 on Wednesday. The Acorns' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Vivi Cruz was a standout: she went a perfect 6-for-6 with four runs, three RBI, and one triple. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season. Ui'Lani Siufanua was another key player, going 5-for-6 with four stolen bases, four runs, and two RBI.
Ocosta's record is now 5-3. As for Oakville, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-8-1.
Thursday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Ocosta has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .509. However, it's not like Oakville struggles in that department as they've averaged .549. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Ocosta's way against Oakville in their previous matchup last Tuesday, as Ocosta made off with a 29-2 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
