The Shaker Bison suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Saturday. They were beaten by Shenendehowa 62-29. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Shaker has scored all season.
Shaker's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Lexi Carrington, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds, and Jayla Geter who scored eight points along with two steals.
Shaker has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-6 record this season. As for Shenendehowa, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Shaker will take on Duanesburg at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Shenendehowa, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Guilderland at 6:00 p.m. on January 22nd. Guilderland will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New York Rankings (they are ranked 146th, while Shenendehowa is ranked ninth).
