Marion won the last time they faced Mt. Vernon and things went their way on Thursday too. The Wildcats walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Rams.

Marion easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-14.

Kaylin Wolfe paced Marion's offense, picking up six kills. Wolfe really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with eight. Jacie Havens controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Marion's win bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Mt. Vernon, their loss was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-9.

Marion wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Meridian on the 20th. As for Mt. Vernon, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Salem on the 22nd.
