Baseball Recap: Milton Extends Winning Streak to Three

Milton waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 5-4 W against the Monona Grove Silver Eagles. For the Red Hawks, this counts as revenge for the 6-2 win the Silver Eagles walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Milton got a great performance from Trey Jones as he struck out six batters over 5.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off eight hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Easton Agnew, who went 3-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Carter Thompson also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Milton's victory bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Monona Grove, their loss ended a 13-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 11-2.

Milton will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Silver Eagles: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
