The Ossining Pride pushed their score all the way to 59 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 71-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of White Plains. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Saturday (58), Ossining still had to take the loss.
Despite the loss, Ossining still got an impressive performance from Franklin Santos, who scored 18 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Santos has scored all season. Asher Cort was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
This is the second loss in a row for Ossining and nudges their season record down to 8-5. As for White Plains, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ossining will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against New Rochelle at 5:00 p.m. on January 26th. New Rochelle presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Ossining in New York (New Rochelle is ranked 39th, while Ossining is ranked 307th). As for White Plains, they will head out on the road to square off against Ossining at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
