The Medford Tech Jaguars fought the good fight in their overtime contest against the Cinnaminson Pirates on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 96-89 to the Pirates. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (65), Medford Tech still had to take the loss.
Medford Tech lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Tre Powell, who scored 28 points along with eight rebounds. Powell hasn't dropped below 28 points for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Robbie Conyer, who scored 22 points along with five rebounds.
This is the second loss in a row for Medford Tech and nudges their season record down to 15-4. As for Cinnaminson, the win (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 17-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Medford Tech will square off against the at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Cinnaminson, they will head out on the road to challenge the Bears at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Delran has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
