St. Anthony entered their tilt with Mary Star of the Sea with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. St. Anthony didn't even let Mary Star of the Sea onto the board and left with a 2-0 victory on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as St. Anthony also won the last time the pair played two weeks ago.
They were led to victory by the tag-team duo of
Troy Novoa and
Kieran Bizzaro, who scored.
St. Anthony is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 5-4 record this season. As for Mary Star of the Sea, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-11.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Anthony will face off against St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy knows how to get goals on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past four matchups -- so hopefully St. Anthony likes a good challenge. Mary Star of the Sea will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against St. Genevieve at 6:00 p.m. on January 24th.
