Maple Mountain has gone a perfect 10-0 against Wasatch recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Golden Eagles will look to defend their home court against the Wasps at 6:30 p.m. Maple Mountain will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
Maple Mountain is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Utah's top teams: Spanish Fork, who was ranked 19th at the time (Maple Mountain was ranked 12th). The Golden Eagles sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Dons on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Golden Eagles have posted since September 2nd.
Maple Mountain took Spanish Fork into a fifth set where they got it done with a six-point win. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-23, 22-25, 21-25, 15-9.

Maple Mountain's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Aliyah Marks, who had 24 digs and two aces, and Olivia Roberts, who had nine digs. Those 24 digs gave Marks a new career-high. Skylin Mitchell also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.
They weren't the only good servers: Maple Mountain was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 20 consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Wasatch didn't have quite enough to beat Payson on Thursday and fell 3-2. The Wasps have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.
Wasatch started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 23-25, 21-25, 25-22, 25-16, 17-15.
Maple Mountain's victory bumped their record up to 16-5. As for Wasatch, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-8.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Tuesday's match: Maple Mountain has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 8.6 aces per game. However, it's not like Wasatch struggles in that department as they've been averaging 8.2 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
