Basketball Game Preview: Legacy Early College Lions vs. Victory Christian Center Kings

Legacy Early College is 9-0 against Victory Christian Center since December of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Legacy Early College Lions will square off against the Victory Christian Center Kings at 6:00 p.m. Legacy Early College is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games.

Legacy Early College is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of South Carolina's top teams: Legion Collegiate Academy, who was ranked 24th at the time (Legacy Early College was ranked sixth). Legacy Early College came out on top against Legion Collegiate Academy by a score of 50-40 on Sunday.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Legacy Early College to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jaida McClure, who posted 11 points and seven assists. Those seven assists gave McClure a new career-high. Zhykera Brown was another key player, putting up 12 points and five rebounds.

Meanwhile, Victory Christian Center was able to grind out a solid victory over Rabun Gap-Nacoochee on Saturday, taking the game 42-34. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Kings.

Legacy Early College's win was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-4. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.6 points per game. As for Victory Christian Center, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season.

Legacy Early College took their victory against Victory Christian Center in their previous meeting back in November of 2024 by a conclusive 55-32. The rematch might be a little tougher for Legacy Early College since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
