There's no place like home for the Middletown Blue Dragons, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Thursday. They snuck past Berlin with a 44-38 victory on Monday. That's another feather in the cap for Middletown, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Middletown got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Shalyn Smith out in front who scored 19 points along with three steals. Smith is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 19 or more in the last five games she's played. Tessa Porch was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Middletown pushed their record up to 16-4 with that victory, which was their seventh straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.3 points per game. As for Berlin, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-6.
Middletown does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Berlin also has no future games currently scheduled.
