The Rock Hill Redmen will be home for the holidays to greet the Symmes Valley Vikings at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Rock Hill's four-game losing streak came to an end on Monday. They had just enough and edged Dawson-Bryant out 41-38. The score was all tied up 17-17 at the break, but Rock Hill was the better team in the second half.
Meanwhile, Symmes Valley waltzed into their match Monday with two straight wins but they left with three. They came out on top against Green by a score of 64-52. Given Symmes Valley's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 125th, while Green is ranked 495th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Rock Hill's victory bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Symmes Valley, their win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-1.
Everything came up roses for Rock Hill against Symmes Valley in their previous meeting back in November of 2021 as the squad secured a 65-34 victory. Will Rock Hill repeat their success, or does Symmes Valley have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
