They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 victory over the Waubonsie Valley Warriors. Winning may never get old, but the Barbs sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Hunter Kriese spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on five hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, DeKalb saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ben Nunez, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
