The Immanuel Eagles will challenge the South Spartans at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a four-game winning streak alive.
Immanuel barely beat Sierra the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Eagles never let the Chieftains get on the board and left with an 11-0 win on Friday.
Immanuel got a massive performance out of Addison Efird, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. That's the most RBI Efird has posted since back in April of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Ellyann Thomas, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs.
Meanwhile, South got the win against Rosamond on Saturday by a conclusive 20-2. The Spartans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by 11 runs or more this season.
Sienna Lopez made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-5 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
In other batting news, London Terrance was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Jaslyn Chavez was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
South was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .556. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
South's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Immanuel, their win bumped their record up to 5-1.
Monday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Immanuel hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .320. However, it's not like South struggles in that department as they've averaged .418. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
