The Miller Falcons's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight loss. They fell 46-37 to Wellington School. While losing is never fun, Miller can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 696th, while Wellington School is ranked 167th).
Miller's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Alivea Lunning, who scored 11 points, and Heather West who scored seven points along with five rebounds. Those 11 points set a new season-high mark for her.
Miller bumped their record down to 1-6 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Wellington School, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Bishop Rosecrans the next time they take the court. Wellington School will host Bishop Rosecrans at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while Miller will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
