Meanwhile, while Astronaut put up plenty of runs on Monday, the same can't be said for Cocoa. Everything went Astronaut's way against Cocoa as Astronaut made off with a 27-0 victory. With that win, the War Eagles brought their scoring average up to 7.5 runs per game.
Lawerence Stewart was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Astronaut is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 2-6 otherwise. Stewart was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
In other pitching news, Cannon Hanson looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Astronaut is 2-1 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 2-6 otherwise.
Back at the plate, Astronaut got a massive performance out of Holden Quinn, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one triple. Astronaut is 3-1 when Quinn posts two or more runs, but 1-6 otherwise. Logan Cepeda was another key player, going 1-for-4 with four runs and four RBI.
Astronaut always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .700. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Astronaut, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-7.
