Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only First Presbyterian Day walked away with it. They came out on top against the Patriots by a score of 23-13 on Friday. The win was nothing new for First Presbyterian Day as they're now sitting on three straight.
Meanwhile, Tattnall Square Academy's offense rose to the challenge against a Knights defense that boasted an average of only 8.64 points allowed. Tattnall Square Academy took down Bethlehem Christian Academy 34-20 on Friday. The win was just what Tattnall Square Academy needed coming off of a 45-21 defeat in their prior game.
The match pitted two dominant backs against one another in Antone Johnson and Joshua Adams. Johnson had a great game and rushed for 220 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 11.0 yards per carry. Meanwhile, Adams was balling out in the loss, rushing for 112 yards and a touchdown.
Their wins bumped First Presbyterian Day to 7-3-1 and Strong Rock Christian to 8-4.
First Presbyterian Day came out on top in a nail-biter against Tattnall Square Academy when the teams last played back in October, sneaking past 29-26. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Tattnall Square Academy's Johnson, who rushed for 271 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 15.1 yards per carry.
