Brock is on a six-game streak of home wins, while Estacado is on a five-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Eagles will host the Matadors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Brock's defense has only allowed eight points per game this season, so Estacado's offense will have their work cut out for them.
Brock is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They blew past Dunbar 49-0. Fans of the Eagles have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Brock's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bryer Mcdonald, who rushed for 133 yards and three scores. Colt Matlock was in the mix too, providing the Eagles with two touchdowns.
Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Brock proved: they limited Dunbar to a paltry 1.2 yards per carry. While four picked up at least two total tackles, Matlock stood above the rest. He picked up 154 receiving yards and a pair of TDs. Brock's ground attack was stronger, having averaged 5.2.
Brock's defense also made the game a nightmare for Marcus McDade, racking up eight sacks. It was truly a group effort as RJ Cannon, Brett Cannon, and Karsen Sullivan picked up two apiece. Brett has been hot, having also posted five or more total tackles the last five times he's played. Another thorn in Dunbar's side was Caleb Holt, who picked up a sack and made nine total tackles (4.0 for loss).
Meanwhile, Estacado strolled past Fort Stockton with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 31-17. Given the Matadors' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 257th, while the Panthers are ranked 568th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Brock's record now sits at 11-0. As for Estacado, their record is now 8-3.
Everything came up roses for Brock against Estacado in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, as the squad secured a 62-13 victory. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Matadors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
