Richland is 9-1 against Raymond since March of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. Richland will take on Raymond at 7:00 p.m. Richland is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.3 runs per game this season.

Richland had taken Lawrence County down for three straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Tuesday. The Rangers fell 6-3 to the Cougars.

Richland saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tucker Evans, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Raymond). Everything went their way against McComb on Tuesday as they made off with a 20-3 victory. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Caiden Willis was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Willis was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (three).

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Carlton Davis, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Chandlyr Dixon was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Raymond always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .718. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Raymond's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-11. As for Richland, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-9.

Richland took their win against Raymond in their previous matchup last Tuesday by a conclusive 17-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for Richland since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
