They really took it to Skipstone Academy for the full four quarters, racking up a 101-33 win at home. Young Americans Christian has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 27 points or more this season.
Among those leading the charge was Caleb Blunt, who scored 21 points. Joshua Poole was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Skipstone Academy's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Griffith Teate, who scored 11 points. Another player making a difference was Rosser Jackson, who scored seven points.
Young Americans Christian's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-12. As for Skipstone Academy, they dropped their record down to 4-8 with that loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Young Americans Christian will stay at home for another game and welcome the Cougars at 6:30 p.m. on February 2nd. As for Skipstone Academy, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on January 26th.
