Basketball Recap: Mildred Continues Road Dominance on Tuesday

Mildred extended their road winning streak to four games dating back to last season thanks to a huge performance from Brennan Moore. The Mildred Eagles were the clear victor by a 68-43 margin over the Rio Vista Eagles on Tuesday thanks in part to Moore, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 boards. He is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down 11 or more in the last four games he's played.

Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jake Mcwhorter, who posted nine points and five rebounds. The dominant performance gave Mcwhorter a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Ashton Huey, who had two points in addition to six assists and four steals.

Mildred's record is now 2-3. As for Rio Vista, they moved to 4-3 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Mildred will take on Edgewood in a holiday battle at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday at. As for Rio Vista, they will challenge Cisco at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday.
