The Linden-McKinley Panthers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They strolled past Whetstone with points to spare, taking the game 58-41. The victory was a breath of fresh air for Linden-McKinley as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Linden-McKinley found their leader in underclassman Christiana Towns, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 steals. Towns has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last seven times she's played. Tamiya Harrington was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with three steals.
The victory got Linden-McKinley back to even at 6-6. As for Whetstone, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12.
Linden-McKinley will look to defend their home court on Friday against Mifflin at 6:00 p.m. Mifflin is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses. Whetstone won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Hamilton Township at 6:00 p.m. on January 17th.
