Softball Recap: Paterson Charter School for Science and Technology Has No Trouble Against Manchester Regional

Paterson Charter School for Science and Technology won the last time they faced Manchester Regional and things went their way on Thursday too. The Lions were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Falcons. The Lions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three games by ten runs or more this season.

Troi Jackson and Lexi-Marie Feliciano made a big impact no matter where they played. Throwing, Jackson struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk). Meanwhile, Feliciano pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in strikeouts (two). At bat, Jackson went 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI, while Feliciano went a perfect 3-for-3 with four stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Feliciano has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played.

In other batting news, Marley Jackson was incredible, getting on base in two of her three plate appearances with five stolen bases and two runs. Those five stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Sheilyn Ramirez also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.

Paterson Charter School for Science and Technology always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .552. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The win made it two in a row for Paterson Charter School for Science and Technology and bumps their season record up to 4-6. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Manchester Regional, they are on a 17-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.
