The Goshen RedHawks scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They walked away with a 60-50 win over Mishawaka. The win was just what Goshen needed coming off of a 59-27 loss in their prior match.
Kyra Hill continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 23 points along with six rebounds and two blocks. Another player making a difference was Kaelyn Marcum, who almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine rebounds.
Mishawaka's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Asiah Shaffer, who scored 21 points, and Kasha Davidovic who scored 17 points along with five rebounds and two steals. That was a full 34% of Mishawaka's points, marking the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Millie Mammolenti, who scored six points.
Mishawaka struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Goshen pulled down ten offensive rebounds.
The win got Goshen back to even at 11-11. As for Mishawaka, they now have a losing record at 11-12.
Goshen will face off against the Kingsmen at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Penn is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
