 Not much got past  Norah Jacques, who gave up just  four  hits and racked up 13 Ks to keep McLean off the board. Jacques has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts in 17 consecutive appearances.
 Langley's victory was  their fifth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 13-5-1. Those  home  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Washington-Liberty, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-12.
 Washington-Liberty might still be hurting after the  10-1 loss they got from Langley  when the teams last played  back in April. Can the Generals avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
