Dixon is a perfect 3-0 against Guilford since March of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. Dixon will be playing in front of their home fans against Guilford at 1:00 p.m. Dixon will be strutting in after a win while Guilford will be coming in after a loss.

Dixon will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one run on Friday, then bounced right back against Jefferson on Thursday. Dixon blew past Jefferson 15-4. The Dukes & Duchesses not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since May 10, 2024.

Brady Feit was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Feit was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

In other batting news, Dixon let Jake Whelan and Exadrian Diaz run wild. Whelan scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3, while Diaz got on base in all three of his plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. The team also got some help courtesy of Jake Zepezauer, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.

Dixon always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .647. The last time their OBP was this high was since the start of last season.

Meanwhile, Guilford unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They lost 17-2 to DeKalb on Wednesday.

Guilford saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Max Haddad, who scored a run while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Dixon took their victory against Guilford when the teams last played back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 14-0. Will Dixon repeat their success, or does Guilford has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
