Bishop Blanchet is on a three-game streak of home wins, while Roosevelt is on a four-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Bears will host the Roughriders at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bishop Blanchet is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.6 runs per game this season.
Bishop Blanchet proved they can win big on Friday (they won by 20) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Garfield, sneaking past 3-2.
Ava Schneider spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on five hits.
On the hitting side, Bishop Blanchet saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Albee Kelly, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.
Meanwhile, while Roosevelt put up plenty of runs on Monday, the same can't be said for Nathan Hale. The Roughriders were the clear victors by an 11-0 margin over the Raiders. The result was nothing new for the Roughriders, who have now won three matchups by 11 runs or more so far this season.
Gretchen Harder was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
Roosevelt's win bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Bishop Blanchet, their victory bumped their record up to 6-1-1.
Tuesday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Bishop Blanchet has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .502. However, it's not like Roosevelt struggles in that department as they've averaged .480. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Bishop Blanchet couldn't quite get it done against Roosevelt in their previous matchup back in May of 2025 as they fell 10-6. Can the Bears avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
