That result was just more of the same for these two, as Anthony Wayne also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Leading Anthony Wayne to victory were Elise Bender and Leah Pike. Bender scored 19 points along with 7 rebounds and 4 steals, while Pike scored 18 points. Another player making a difference was Brooke Bender, who scored 6 points along with 4 steals.
Anthony Wayne's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Southview, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Anthony Wayne will head out on the road to face off against Ross at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Southview, they will be playing at home against Perrysburg at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
