After a string of five wins, The Timpanogos Timberwolves''s good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell to Park City 28-24. Timpanogos gained 113 more yards on the day, but it was Park City that made the best of use of them.
Several Timberwolves players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Chase Riggs, who threw for 326 yards and two touchdowns. Luke Livingston was another key contributor, picking up 116 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Even if they lost, Timpanogos' defense sure didn't make it easy: Park City's QB was sacked four times before it was all said and done. Leading the way was Jesse King and his three sacks.
Leading Park City to victory were Will Mccurdy and Eli Warner. Mccurdy rushed for 102 yards and a touchdown, while Warner rushed for 121 yards and a touchdown. Mccurdy was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 54 yards.
Timpanogos' loss dropped their record down to 9-3. As for Park City, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-1.
Timpanogos does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Park City will square off against Green Canyon at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Utah (Green Canyon is ranked 26th, while Park City is ranked 25th).
