Basketball Recap: Brennan Picks Up Eighth Consecutive Win

Brennan had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 37 points) and they went ahead and made it eight on Friday. They blew past the Stevens Falcons, posting a 99-45 victory. The Bears have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 matchups by 25 points or more this season.

Brennan had a senior duo take command as Camden Cowgill went 6 of 10 from beyond the arc en route to 24 points along with eight assists and six steals and Kingston Flemings went 8 of 11 en route to 19 points along with seven rebounds and six assists. Those eight assists gave Cowgill a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Talon Todd, who went 5 of 7 on his way to 13 points and three steals.

Brennan was working as a unit and finished the game with 26 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Despite the loss, Stevens still got an impressive performance from Richard Guerra, who posted 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of RJ Berechi, who had nine points.

Brennan's win bumped their record up to 19-2. As for Stevens, they now have a losing record at 10-11.

Brennan will be playing in front of their home fans against Taft at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Brennan is facing Taft at the right time seeing as Taft is stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Stevens, they will venture away from home to face off against O'Connor at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Stevens is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
