After low-scoring totals in their previous three match, North Branford brought some dynamite into their most recent contest. They were the clear victors by an 11-4 margin over the Haddam-Killingworth Cougars on Wednesday. The result was nothing new for the Thunderbirds, who have now won eight games by six runs or more so far this season.

North Branford pushed their record up to 15-2 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.1 runs over those games. As for Haddam-Killingworth, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-5 record this season.
