It was a good run, but Chapin unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Midland Valley Mustangs by a score of 2-1. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mustangs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2023.

Chapin's loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Midland Valley, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-5.

Coming up, Chapin will look to defend their home field on Friday against Dutch Fork at 5:30 p.m. As for Midland Valley, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 15-0 victory against Aiken on the 3rd.
