The Midway/Minto Mustangs won the last time they faced the Larimore Polar Bears, and things went their way on Monday too. Midway/Minto took down Larimore 59-42.
Despite the loss, Larimore still got an impressive performance from Avery Gratton, who scored 16 points along with nine rebounds. Michael Myers was another key contributor, scoring six points along with 11 rebounds.
Midway/Minto's victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-2. As for Larimore, they bumped their record down to 0-2 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Midway/Minto will face off against Mayville-Portland-Clifford-Galesburg at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Mayville-Portland-Clifford-Galesburg has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 200 points over their last three matches. Larimore will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Richland at 5:00 p.m. on December 28th.
