Even though the Lake Norman Charter Knights scored an imposing 66 points on Friday, the Robinson Bulldogs still came out on top. Robinson took their matchup against Lake Norman Charter 79-66. The score was all tied up 33-33 at the break, but Robinson was the better team in the second half.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Robinson to victory, but perhaps none more so than Londen Roseman, who scored 23 points. Roseman continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Da'montre Harlee was another key contributor, scoring 17 points.
Lake Norman Charter lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jay Morgan, who scored 21 points. Those 21 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Drew Johnson, who scored six points along with seven rebounds and seven steals.
Robinson is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. As for Lake Norman Charter, they now have a losing record at 6-7.
Robinson will be playing at home against Concord at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in North Carolina (Concord is ranked 183rd, while Robinson is ranked 170th). As for Lake Norman Charter, they will head out on the road to face off against South Rowan at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. South Rowan is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
