Fort Edward is 0-8 against Lake George since December of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Fort Edward Flying Forts will stay at home for another game and welcome the Lake George Lakers at 6:00 p.m. on January 26th. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Friday, Fort Edward came up short against Corinth and fell 49-39.
Meanwhile, things could have been worse for Lake George, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 53-38 loss to Moriah on Wednesday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Lake George has scored all season.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Jack Welch, who scored eight points along with 11 rebounds. He is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last three games he's played.
Fort Edward's defeat was their 14th straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Lake George, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-6.
Fort Edward took a serious blow against Lake George in their previous meeting back in January of 2023, falling 64-17. The matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Fort Edward was down 36-6.
