It was a good run, but the Boulder City Eagles unfortunately witnessed the end of their nine-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 66-53 to Peninsula. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Boulder City has scored all season.
Several Eagles players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Easton Welbourne, who scored 16 points along with three steals. That's the first time this season that Welbourne scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Sean Pendleton, who scored nine points.
Boulder City's loss dropped their record down to 9-1. As for Peninsula, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-8.
