Basketball Recap: Indianapolis Washington Skates Past Purdue Broad Ripple with Ease

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Indianapolis Scecina Memorial, Indianapolis Washington was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They blew past the Purdue Broad Ripple Lynx 43-13. The Continentals pushed the score to 40-4 by the end of the third, a deficit the Lynx cut but never quite recovered from.

Indianapolis Washington's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ele'Jah Smith, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 16 boards. The dominant performance also gave Smith a new career-high in assists (five). Shamya Orr was another key player, dropping a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds.

Purdue Broad Ripple's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Emmaly Britt, who posted seven points and three steals. Another player making a difference was Nadia Harris, who put up four points in addition to ten boards and four blocks.
