The Rockwood Tigers will head out on the road to face off against the Sale Creek Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Sale Creek took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Rockwood, who comes in off a win.
Rockwood entered their tilt with Jellico with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Rockwood came out on top against Jellico by a score of 47-37 on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, it was a hard-fought matchup, but Sale Creek had to settle for a 42-40 loss against Scott on Saturday.
Despite the defeat, Sale Creek saw an underclassman step up: Madilynn Ellis scored 21 points along with 6 rebounds. Ellis scored a full 52.5% of Sale Creek's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Emma Gammon, who scored 4 points.
Rockwood's win lifted them to 3-0 while Jellico's loss dropped them down to 0-2.
Rockwood suffered a grim 44-18 defeat to Sale Creek in their previous meeting back in December of 2022. Can Rockwood avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
