Brandeis entered their tilt with Denton on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came within a single point of losing the streak, but they secured a 47-46 W against Denton.

Brandeis got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Connor Garcia out in front who posted nine points and seven assists. Garcia is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last three games he's played. Chris Battles was another key player, putting up eight points and seven rebounds.

Denton's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ethan Ashu, who had 11 points. Another player making a difference was Ethan Sheats, who put up 11 points.

Brandeis' victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Denton, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 5-1.

Coming up, Brandeis won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Richland at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Broncos will need to watch out since the Royals have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Denton, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll square off against Haltom at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
